WHERE AND HOW TO BUY MINING EQUIPMENT?
1. From the availability in Moscow - an ideal option. Arrived, checked, paid, picked up. The only negative is the price! In stock, it is much higher than the pre-order from China.
2. Pre-order from China - and here you can write a book. Now I will describe the main criteria:
Pre-order only from those who have their own service in Moscow.
The main problem is the delivery and the operability of the asic after it. In China, the check is carried out according to the hashrate, and most often they do not even look at the temperature of the chips. It started, the hashrate was shown, turned off and sold. They even sent you a video check.
Delivery to the Russian Federation (even in a wooden crate) does not guarantee that asic will come into your hands. If you think that it is your asic that Chinese angels are carrying on their hands, kissing it on the way to the Russian Federation, then this is not so. I have received asiki many times, with broken coolers, a rattle inside the asika, because the radiators fell off, there were even dented cases of the M21s - and this is all when delivered in a wooden crate. I have my own service to fix it quickly and give the client a working device, even with a delay, taking into account repairs in Moscow, but WORKING.
And when testing asics for more than an hour or two (and in my service we run them for at least half a day), more sores come out - coolers make noise and do not work correctly, boards are heated, chips fall off, viruses. Etc. We fix all this ourselves, and the client does not pay for it.
Power supplies are a separate story. Very rarely, power supplies are checked in China, in Chinese test rooms, their working power supplies are on the shelves and only asics are changed, and for sale the blocks simply lie in a pile of other blocks. That's where they get from and are sent to the Russian Federation, about 15-20% of them are non-working.
What am I talking about?! ….
If you are chasing a lower price in search of Russian-speaking guys living in China, or the Chinese themselves. Then no matter how decent they are, you will take on the risks associated with a breakdown during delivery, or a bad check.
Example:
Recently, a client ordered asiki T17+ 58T from me.
⁃ We spent a week and a half looking for normally working ASICs in China, since the Chinese are very zealous about checking equipment for more than 5 minutes after entering the hashrate, and they didn't hold on in those warehouses anymore, they fell off. As a result, they found normal ones, checked everything works.
⁃ Sent by air delivery in a wooden crate. 1 piece arrived with a rattle, the radiators fell off along with the chips. It will not be possible to restore one of the three boards, only 3 live chips.
⁃ I have to buy a working fee in Moscow in order to give the client a working device. By today's standards, the price is 50-80k, which is more than I earned on this particular asic.
⁃ The remaining 2 boards were revived on their own in the service
If you ordered this device from Chinese Russians or Chinese, you would carry it for repair, and you would pay for it yourself. You will receive an answer from the seller - there was a video check, we sent a working device. And they are right!
3. Buying from the Chinese in warehouses in the Russian Federation without the possibility of verification, but then with the reimbursement of repairs - it's just absolutely roulette. I don't play it.
The end of this article is equal to the beginning:
⁃ Availability is ideal, but more expensive
⁃ Pre-order - from those who have their own service in Moscow
In @waymorr has its own service and all the equipment that arrived on pre-order is checked in it. The client receives 100% working equipment. We assume the risks described above.
